Megs mood board, Barely Wakeing

Barely waking explores the idea of levels of conciuosness- the stage of sleep where dreams seem reality, confusion and change and adaptaiton into a new stream of thought. the colour names fit particularly well, as there is a fine balance between what is soft and peaceful vs the hazy, groggy lapse into wake which can be strange and restless after a deep sleep..

The deamlike state is shown through the women featured - and the ideas of draping and wrapping like bing twisted in a blanket when worken. hints of sher, light fabrics also in the images a and shapes in the figures.

The collection is broken down into the hypnotic and intense hero collection - Hypnosonnance, more structured (in concpept and construction) fashion range- divine revvelation, and the key ideas of shapes included in the basics collection 'lost in conciousness

Together the range will begin to merge the months of Spring and Summer for Lady Libertine, 2010

Echoes of Sonnelence Mood Board:

Echoes of Sonnelence - to reflect the femininty; romanticism and emotion (love story) of the inspiration of the collection. The images layered reflect the wrapping and gathering of fabric found throughout the collection + the wrapping and entwining of the dancers bodies in the misericordes pas de deux. The construction/display of the colour palette also mimicking this wrapping of fabric around. The female images not only explore the overall themes of the Spring/Summer collection ( the tying up/wrapping etc) but also the shapes pf the garments throughout the Echoes of Sonnelence february drop. Transparency and layering of images create the mesmerising and dream-like mood that is found throughout the label's inspiration for the Spring/Summer collection...

theme board of cruel fairy tales

this is my final theme board for my individual theme: cruel fairy tales. As my theme is about the sadness emotion and kind of horror feeling, I just made the theme board to show what I want to present in the collection.

This is my final theme board, i wanted it to have recognisable layers aswell as linear objects and images to tie in with the main concepts of "...Creature of Reverie..." i.e wrapping, binding, tying, layering and the softness of a dreamlike state, an escape... a reverie...

Update on the colour palette

This is the update on our colour palette. We will all use core colours in our garments, then each month will present one fashion colour and one highlight colour (is the fashion colour of next month). In this way, the highlight colour of each month is the link to the next month design.
